About Us
1968: The Genesis of Hoziana
Choir Hoziana Choir traces its roots back to 1968, when Rev. Kayihura Jacob founded a small singing group of five members; his wife, two daughters, and an evangelist named Mbuzukongira Gaspard, in Gasave, Kigali.
1978: A New Chapter and Name
As the group grew, it became active in ministry until 1978, when it split into two: members from Nyakabanda and Gikondo moved to serve in Nyarugenge, while the rest remained in Gasave, forming Gasave Choir. The group in Nyarugenge initially called itself Kigali Choir, but soon adopted the name Hoziana Choir.
Beyond 1978: Flourishing Ministry
Since then, Hoziana Choir has flourished, spreading the gospel through powerful worship and outreach across Rwanda and beyond. Today, it is a vibrant ministry of 130 committed singers, continuing to serve God faithfully through music and evangelism.

Community Outreach Programs
We are committed to serving our community by extending love, hope, and practical support to those in need. Through initiatives like purchasing Mutuelle de Santé for vulnerable families and other acts of kindness, we strive to be the hands and feet of Christ in our society.
Local and International Gospel Tours & Concerts
We share the gospel through music both locally and internationally, reaching hearts across borders. Our tours and concerts connect us with diverse communities and cultures, as we spread the love of God to the ends of the earth.
Music Academy & Training
We equip aspiring choir members, mainly children of our choir members, with professional music training and spiritual growth opportunities. Through our academy, we nurture their talents and prepare them to serve with excellence in the choir and beyond.
